Just imagine the light-eyed former Miss World breezing about in minis and white sarees as Tina in Karan Johar’s directorial debut ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (K2H2)…. Not able to think it? Well then, let we tell you that in fact Aishwarya Rai was one among the actresses who were chosen to play the character of Rani Mukherji in the movie.

According to sources, Karan Johar had approached nine heroines for the part eventually played by Rani in K2H2. But only Aishwarya was kind enough to revert back to inform him that she won’t be able to do the movie.

Recalled Johar, “All (actresses) had detailed narrations; all said they loved it and would call me back. But of the nine, only Aishwarya called back and said she could not do it because her dates were given to Jeans. She had the grace to call back and have a detailed discussion, which was very encouraging for me as a first-time film-maker.”

Having known Aishwarya for years, Karan stated that, he and Aishwarya shared a great relationship. “Though we have never worked together, I know we will be fantastic together on celluloid as actor and director," believes the filmmaker.

Even we feel the same KJo and we really wish you and Aishwarya come together for a movie….. What say?
